Fashion School Final Project- A Couture Gown

My final project for first year at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
This dress was inspired by BRAT.

The album that truly got me through such a big move in my life! The album that brought me into the first year of my dream career.

Our theme was sleeping sirens so was excited to follow that guideline. I hand sewed every little pleat using slip stitch.

The reason each pleat looks unique from each other is because I wanted to mimic different sound waves.

It took months to achieve the final look I love it so much!
