I’m Keren, the designer behind Zingmade. My path to knitwear design has been anything but linear. I grew up in small-town Chatham, Ontario -where corn and Crocs are the iconic cultural staples. I first earned a Sociology degree that taught me to see design through the lens of people. I later spent four transformative years in California, where financial struggles pushed me into thrifting, DIY, and ultimately a deep commitment to sustainability. 

The true spark for Zingmade came when a stranger with two chihuahuas sold me twelve giant totes of luxury yarn on the condition that I “do something big” with it. So I taught myself to knit on a machine, fell in love with the process, and never looked back. Today, I’m studying Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. I’m building Zingmade with the values that shaped me: sustainability, creativity, and community.
