I’m a symbolism girl, a sentimental human if you will. This shirt is a fusion of my two favourite coastal locations. The Mediterranean Sea, a place I spent my summer many years ago. The California tidepools I so casually visited during my weekends living at that beautiful state. 

This is a fusion deep in my heart. It’s part of who I am as a designer and inspired this one of a kind piece which I made into wearable art.

The Mediterranean Tidepools shirt is a fusion of two worlds: the tidepools of California and the golden shores of Greece. Inspired by a special trip to Greece and years spent near the California coast. This piece reflects the way memory and place can merge into craft. Each embroidered tidepool motif tells a story of light, water, and nature. It brings the sea to life through thread and fabric paint.

The bodice is made from a shimmering gold silk-blend fabric. Hand-painted and embroidered tidepool details show across the surface, adding depth and texture. There is lining attached to hide the embroidery thread.

Each sleeve is intentionally unique! One crafted from repurposed lace, the other from a repurposed floral knit. They reflect the diversity of global coastal landscapes.
